Snowboarding In France

Dilophosaurus Snowboarding Edit – France 2014 from Rob Antill on Vimeo.

Little edit put together from footage we collected in Meribel and Three Valleys, France.

Mainly riding with good friends, Alex and Olli we toured around the resort hitting up the parks and pistes.

Really happy with some of the heli shots in the video, particularly the top-down view of Olli hitting the DC black kicker.

Did some bonus tracking at the beginning just to test the idea of adding 3D to heli footage.

Enjoy.

Open Faces Freeride Event Coverage – Obergurgl, Austria

Working with Dimension2 and Magenta Films to cover the 2014 Open Faces Freeride event in Obergurgl, Austria.

A lot of pre planning went into this shoot, camera angles were pretty important to capture as much action as possible, so we had filmers dotted all over the mountain. Me, Ad and Pierre hiked the face in the morning in just under 1 hour 30. We were positioned at the starting line at the top. It was my job to capture heli shots of people dropping in.

Over all it was a really enjoyable job, got to meet some great people and the final edit really worked out :)

Aerial PanoDrop | Tahoe, USA

TahoePanoDropFinally got round to trying out a PanoDrop from the sky. I put a GoPro in 0.5 of a sec timelapse mode, and sent the DJI Phantom up. I had it in GPS mode so once I’d found a position I thought would look good I rotated the heli around slowly to capture a selection of images to make up the 360° panorama. From there I stitched the stereographic image as normal. Hopefully I’ll get round to making a few of these :)

Miner On The Moon, Piece By Alex Chinneck – Black Friars, London

Miner On The Moon, Alex Chinneck, Black Friars

While working in London with Alex, he spotted this building that stood out from the rest. It turns out it’s an art installation by Alex Chinneck. We thought it would be cool to have Alex riding by and then flip the image to make it a little trippy. I had to adjust the angle of the perspective in post to give the impression the image was taken from the ‘bottom‘ looking up, and not the other way round.
