Last week I was up in the French Alp ski resort Val Thorens with 220 Nottingham Trent Students! It was my job to document the entire trip with photos and video. My contraption I built the previous week came in very handy! It was great being able to pass the camera around and allow people to get personal views of them skiing. Over all I got around 67Gb of data!
This week has been super hectic at Tribe! I have a lot of different projects running simultaneously at the moment. One project that needed to be done before I left for the the Alps was a 3D visualisation concept for a exhibition stand.
With my recent Purchase of the GoPro HD Hero I’ve been playing around with new filming techniques. One of the most interesting is attaching the camera to a pole and have it facing the person in control. This has been done before (see video above) so I wanted to spice it up a little. I set out to find something that would be appropriate. I found a shop on eBay that sells 2cm diameter by 1m length acrylic rod for around £10 inc delivery.
Last couple of weeks I’ve been rinsing the online stores and my bank account. I decided this year I would finally buy my own snowboard kit as renting it was starting to add up and didn’t really seem worth it. My friend Joe goes to Imperial College in London and is head of the snow committee.
