Minute Nine – Quadcopter Snowboarding

Here it is. My first video using the new DJI Phantom. It was a serious challenge trying to snowboard whilst controlling this. As a first attempt goes, its okay, Lots of room for improvement though. Since this was filmed I’ve made some adjustments to the props and built a shock absorber mount. Future footage should be smoother with a bit of luck. Enjoy

DIY GoPro Skate Style Handle

Skate Style GoPro Handle

Been shooting a fiar amount of footage with the shiny new GoPro3 Black recently and the shakiness of the footage was bugging me. I tried using my DSLR handle and found it worked well at getting lower shots and keeping the camera still. However the size of this was totally unnecessary. I did a bit of hunting online and couldn’t find anything that was suitable.

Minute Eight Now Online

Spending the season at WhiteWater Ski Resort. Here is a little video chasing Sean and Robin down one of the empty runs. We hit a max speed of 53mph (tracking it with GPS). Not the steadiest footage.. but I tried. Travelling this speed it’s difficult to not shake a little. Shot using the new handle I built. More info on that coming up…
