I thought I would spruce up my new desktop setup at Tribe the other day so I created this pretty abstract desktop background…

I’m currently running two 20inch screens with combined resolution of 3200 x 1200.

This was the first test render.. Really like the the effect Greeble produces. Its like a mini city scape.

Second render with some Depth Of Field applied.

Here’s the Z-Depth pass.

To do this I created a geoSphere, applied greeble (A free plugin), tweeked the settings, set up vRay, set up the z depth element, render, make a cup of tea, load both images into Photoshop, apply z depth to the alpha channel of the original image, add a blur filter.. job done 🙂
