Spent another Friday night at the boardroom skate park this week. I thought it would be a great opportunity to try out the new SB 600 Speedlight I purchased the other month.

I didn’t really take a great deal of shots but some of them came out pretty good. I’ve been playing around with this technique where you set the camera shutter fairly low (around 80th of second) and illuminate the subject closest with the flash. While taking the photo I rotate the camera around quite fast which gives the background a nice blur. I set up the flash on a tripod and used some wireless remote triggers to set it off. I was quite pleased with how these cheap eBay triggers performed. I was shooting some sequences at around 150th of a second without out any miss fires.

Also Thomas was trying to land a back side flip over this new addition to the park. Luckily I was filming the last few goes when he landed it :)…
