I have a Zenmuse H3-2D Gimbal on its way (very excited) which will hopefully make the footage captured super stable, but in the mean time I found this a cheap and effective mod minimizes the horrible jello/ vibration effect.
Been shooting a fiar amount of footage with the shiny new GoPro3Black recently and the shakiness of the footage was bugging me. I tried using my DSLR handle and found it worked well at getting lower shots and keeping the camera still. However the size of this was totally unnecessary. I did a bit of hunting online and couldn’t find anything that was suitable.
I’ve got a big exciting project coming up which will involve a fair amount of time-lapse bits. So to make the shots look a bit more interesting I set out to make my own motorized time-lapse dolly. The above video was shot entirely with a GoPro Hero 2 and the little rig I built.
I recently got my self one of these small digital video cameras.
They are made by a American company called GoPro and this is the HD model. I picked it up for £270 from this small online shop. The camera shoots in various modes including 720p @ 60 Fps(for some nice slow mo action), 960p @ 30Fps and 1080p @ 30Fps. It also has a Time lapse feature that takes photos in intervals of 2,5,10,30 and 60seconds. It takes a SD card up to 32Gb and can record for about 2.5 hours on a single charge.
