Been considering making the switch from Flickr to 500px for some time now…

Flickr has been awesome, but I just feel there is no community any more. What also bugs me is the lack of updates from the flickr staff.
Everything is just feeling a little old. 500px is the new kid on the block, I cant say much for the community side of things as of yet, but like with any new site, that will have to be something to build up and I look forward to that.
Thank you Flickr and the community that has helped me improve over the years, but it’s time to move on to bigger and better things.
I hope to see some of you guys over at 500px.
Update: so the week after this post Flickr release a brand new iphone app, and have tweaked the UI of the site. Funny coincidence. The new app is great, however it seems to be orientated around mobile uploads. I want to keep the photos I take with my phone and photos taken with my DSLR separate. Which makes me still stand by my orignal choice to move to 500px. This might mean in the future my mobile uploads end up on here, aposed to instagram for example… we shall see.
